Cordel Real is a herding game about Spain's historic drove roads. It has no account system, no advertising, no analytics and no server of its own. This page explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
What the app collects
Nothing is collected, transmitted or sold. Cordel Real does not contact any server while you play, does not include advertising or tracking software development kits, and does not build a profile of you or your device.
What the app stores, and where
Everything Cordel Real remembers is written only to your device's own app storage, using Apple's standard on-device file and settings APIs. None of it is uploaded anywhere. This includes:
- Your progress along the drove road: which days you have walked, your stars, and your crew's levels.
- Your settings: sound, music and haptics preferences, and whether you have opted in to the daily "dawn call" reminder.
- Photographs you choose to add to the in-app Road Journal, together with any place name or caption you write for them.
If you delete Cordel Real from your device, this information is deleted with it. There is no account to recover it from, because none exists.
Camera and photo library
The Road Journal page of the shepherd's notebook lets you keep your own photographs of drove roads, flocks or resting places you have visited. The camera and photo library are only accessed when you deliberately choose to add a picture, and iOS asks your permission the first time you do. Any photo you add is stored in the app's own storage on your device; it is never uploaded, shared with us, or used for any purpose beyond showing it back to you inside your Road Journal.
Notifications
Cordel Real can send one optional local reminder a day — the "dawn call" — to let you know the flock is ready to walk. This notification is scheduled entirely on your device using Apple's local notification framework. It is never sent from a server, and it is only scheduled after you turn it on from onboarding or Settings. You can turn it off at any time, and nothing is recorded about whether or when you open it.
Children's privacy
Cordel Real does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect information from anyone at all. The app contains no chat, no user-generated sharing with other players, and no purchases.
Third parties
Cordel Real bundles a small amount of licensed royalty-free music and sound effects, credited inside the app under Camp → Settings → Credits. These are static audio files included with the app; using them does not involve any network request, SDK or data exchange with the people who made them.
Your choices
- You can reset your saved progress at any time from Camp → Settings.
- You can turn the dawn-call reminder on or off at any time from Settings, or manage it in the iOS Settings app.
- You can delete any Road Journal photo you have added, individually, from inside the Road Journal.
- Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the update date at the top of this page will change too. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect substantive changes, but we will reflect accurately anything that does change in a future version of Cordel Real.
